I don't really want this to be a graphic post, but.... trying to figure out what's going on! Marshet has been having "loose stool" issues since Mike took placement of him in Ethiopia- and probably long before. All stool test results came back negative. So, no parasite, giardia, etc.... But, obviously something is going on. Has anyone else struggled with this, and/or found some answers? He eats TONS and is SUPER skinny!

You might want to have him tested for giardia again. Sometimes it isn't caught on tests. Is his stomach bloated? Does he have bad breathe-- like all the time? It also could be other parasites besides giardia. My E had giardia, another parasite, and a worm when she came home. Put him on probiotics. That will help!
We had our daughter tested multiple times because I was sure that something was wrong...nope. She was and is fine. It seemed to take a month or two for her to get it all out of her "system." She came home with a really big belly and I was sure it was due to a parasite...nope. Just a stinky little situation that worked itself out. He is adorable. Congrats again on your beautiful family!
This happened with Maddy too and we had all the tests with no "positive" results. Our doctor prescribed a probiotic, which really worked. Actually, a little too well as we then faced the opposite issue! Since she was so young we just put the probiotic in her bottle so it was not a big deal for her to take it. After a couple months her system evened out and we didn't need the probiotic anymore. Poor little guy! (and poor you!)
We had this with Eli too. But it went away after a couple of months. I wonder if it's just all the change going on - food and environment? Hoping everything else is going well! Thanks for all your encouragement - especially because I know you are way busy with all that's going on in your world right now!
