Our Referral

For our first real post here we are proud and happy to announce that we have received our referral from Ethiopia today, Wednesday June 20, 2007!! We’d like to introduce baby Grace but we can’t legally show pictures of her yet. Here’s what her hand looks like:

She's 7 weeks old and as cute as can be! She's an itty bitty little peanut, too! Our next steps are to formally accept the referral, wait for a court date to be set in Ethiopia and then travel to bring Grace home with us. Please pray that we will get a court date quickly so we can travel before the courts close in August. If we don’t get a date in August then we won’t be able to travel until after the end of September. This is because the Ethiopian courts are closed in August and September. The timeline is pretty tight, so we’ll see if we make it before then. More to come soon.
